In John 3: 16, we see that God loved us so much that he made a way for us to be reconciled to him. He calls this way salvation, and he gives us directions to it in what is called "The Roman Road".
There is nothing that man can do in-and-of himself that can secure the salvation of God except to receive his Son, Jesus, and his sacrificial offering of himself for our sins.
God has concluded:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God...Romans 3: 23.
"For the wages of sin is death; ...Romans 6: 23a...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6: 23b.
The death spoken of here is eternal separation from God our Creator and the Lord Jesus Christ.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us . Romans 5: 8.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10: 13.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10: 9.
If you believe what God has concluded of mankind and want to receive His free gift of salvation in faith just pray a prayer something like this,
Father, I believe what you have said in your Word about me being a sinner and comming short of your glory. I know that if I reject your free offer of salvation through Jesus Christ, I will be separated from you eternally. Thank you for extending your love towards me even while I was a sinner and now I accept that free gift by faith in Jesus Christ.
I confess with my mouth that Jesus is your only begotten Son and that He died for my sins, and I believe that you have raised Him from the dead and I have opened my heart so that Jesus Christ can come in.
If you have sincerely prayed this prayer from the heart and in faith of salvation, you are now saved. Please write us at; Pilgrim Baptist Worship Center, Inc.; P.O. Box 241772, Milwaukee, WI. 53224-9038 or call us at (414) 265-7171.
